Story behind the textile
Our block printed cloth showcases a diverse range of printing techniques from around India. All share the use of hand carved wooden blocks applied, by hand, to the surface of cloth to layer colours & patterns. The dabu print utilises the application of mud to resist dyes, resulting in negatives of the pattern & is created by our partners in Bagru.
