Featuring brass tubes hand-wrapped in black cotton yarn, it makes a distinctive statement with its modern, minimal aesthetic. These necklaces are individually crafted, and any variations or irregularities are part of the design and inherent to the production process.

Maya-Bazaar works with grassroots-level artisans who had given up their tradition of charakkam, or hand knotting, to work as migrant labourers in Mumbai, India. Infusing their craft with modern designs and unique ideas, Maya-Bazaar continues to create individual pieces of jewellery and accessories. At Maya-Bazaar, we encourage the employment of women and provide support in health, education, savings, family planning and relationship counselling to our craftspeople.
