Maya-Bazaar's 'City of Dreams' matinee necklace pendant embodies the special aura of Bombay. Just as we wanted to capture a refined sparkle and festive mood, our skillful artisans from Jaipur couldn't achieve it. Thus began the journey of crafting the masterpiece at our studio in Bombay with hand-engraved semi-precious stones, hand-stitched crystals, and delicately wire-wrapped pearls. After weeks of relentless efforts and an indomitable spirit, our pendant came to life, mirroring the persistent 'never say never' spirit of Bombay, the city of dreams. Just like Bombay, it symbolizes dreams turned into reality!

Maya-Bazaar works with grass root level artisans who had given up their tradition of charakkam or handknotting to work as migrant labourers in Mumbai, India. Infusing their craft with modern designs and unique ideas, Mayabazaar continues to create individual pieces of jewellery and accessories. At Mayabazaar we encourage employment of women and provide support in health, education, savings, family planning and relationship counselling to our craftspeople.
