Each Wayúu Mochila is hand-woven using a single-thread technique, worked continuously from the base upward. This method creates minimal stitch joins, resulting in exceptional strength and a clean, refined finish. More labour-intensive than the two-thread technique, each mochila takes approximately 3–4 weeks to complete, depending on the complexity of the design.
